I finally hit 100 callbacks in a year and it cost me my best client
I pulled my job log last Tuesday and the number hit me: 100 callbacks in 12 months on a little over 80 jobs. Most of them were small stuff, a door that wouldn't latch right, caulk pulling away, a drain that ran slow after I thought I snaked it clean. The one that stuck was a bathroom remodel in Mesa where the homeowner called me back 4 times, and on the last one she said she'd already hired someone else to fix my work. What did you all change first to get your callback rate down, better punch lists, slower final walkthroughs, or just saying no to certain jobs?
