Internal newsletter vs. Slack blast - I learned the hard way
I sent a 3-paragraph newsletter about the new PTO policy last month and got zero replies, but my coworker's 2-line Slack message got 50 reactions in an hour. Is everyone else ditching email newsletters for quick pings too?

In my experience, it really depends on the audience and the topic. Short urgent updates like policy changes work way better as quick Slack messages because people skim those throughout the day. But for stuff that needs explanation like why we're changing the policy in the first place, a longer email works fine for me. Your mileage may vary of course, but I've learned to match the tool to the message length. Quick pings for quick news, newsletters for bigger picture stuff.

Totally agree with @susan424, it's just about picking the right tool for each thing.
