Just realized the best internal email trick I ever learned came from a receptionist at a dentist office

Can't say I see it the same way... all those little tricks just clutter up your inbox and make people think they can get away with ignoring real communication. A receptionist's job is about scheduling and paperwork, not teaching corporate email strategy.

The one at my old dentist actually taught me the "reply all is for emergencies only" rule that saved me from so many useless chain emails. I get where you're coming from though, those small tricks from people who deal with real chaos every day are gold. Honestly, the receptionist at my doctor's office is the one who showed me how to set up filters for different types of messages, and it cut my inbox clutter by half. People in those front desk roles deal with a ton of different personalities and urgent stuff all day, so they pick up these small hacks that actually work. It's not about ignoring communication, it's about managing the noise so you can focus on the important stuff.
