Rant: My CEO killed my first big campaign with one sentence
I spent two weeks on this internal video about our new health benefits. It was supposed to be fun and lighthearted with jokes about gym memberships. My CEO watched it and said, 'This feels like a commercial, not a conversation.' I realized she was right. Now I start every internal project by asking if it sounds like something a real person would actually say, not a script from ad land. Has anyone else had a boss kill a project in a way that actually made your work better?
