My early eyeliner pencils were nothing like today's

They used to be hard and tugged on the skin. Now, the gel types glide on smooth. I don't miss the smudging or sharpening. It's a small change that makes a big difference.

It's wild how many things have quietly gotten way better like that. Remember when phones had buttons and apps crashed constantly? Stuff just slowly fixes its own worst problems. They figure out the pain points, like tugging or smudging, and smooth them out. Makes you wonder what annoying thing we deal with today that'll be solved in five years. It's not big inventions, just the slow grind of making daily life less fussy.
