Had the worst luck Tuesday - got rear-ended and then my dryer broke an hour later

Tuesday was a dumpster fire. I was sitting at a red light on 5th street around 2pm and some guy in a pickup just plowed into me because he was looking at his phone. Minor damage but still annoying. Then I get home and my dryer won't start, just makes a click sound. Appliance guy said the motor is shot and it's $300 to fix. Has anyone else had days where everything just decides to break at once?

One of my buddies had a day exactly like that. He got a flat tire on the way to work, then came home to find his basement flooded from a burst pipe. Later that night his fridge just died and he lost like $200 worth of food. He said the worst part was the fridge repair guy couldn't come for three days. It took him a week to get everything sorted and he was just completely fried by the end of it. Some days the universe just has it out for you.

I had that exact month last April. First my water heater gave out on a Tuesday, then my car's alternator died in the Walmart parking lot later that same week. The real kicker was finding out my homeowners insurance didn't cover the water damage because it was "gradual" even though the thing burst like a popped balloon. Had to eat $1,200 in repairs out of pocket and live off cold cuts and crackers for four days. Sometimes you just have to laugh or you'll start crying.
