PSA: That $50 meal prep delivery service is a total scam if you hate tiny portions

I signed up for FreshBites last month and got three boxes where the chicken breasts were literally the size of my palm, not even enough for one person. The app promised hearty meals but I ended up cooking extra rice every night just to feel full. Has anyone else gotten ripped off by these portion sizes or am I just a hungry monster?

Man my hands are basically salad tongs so if a chicken breast fits in my palm that's like a snack for a toddler. Got a box from FreshBites last spring and the "hearty beef stew" had three cubes of meat floating in a gallon of broth. Ended up ordering pizza after every meal prep night, kinda defeated the whole point of saving money.

Gotta agree with you here @the_wade. I got one of those meal kit deals and my "hearty" whatever was basically a shot glass of sauce with a single sad meatball in it. My hands are normal sized but I swear the shrimp scampi came with four tiny shrimp like they were rationing them. Ended up cooking a frozen pizza anyway because I was still hungry after eating the whole box. Meal prep companies act like we're all birds eating crumbs.
