Choosing between a big city job offer and staying at my family's small town shop

I had a job offer in Chicago paying $75k, but it meant leaving my dad's hardware store back home. I picked the store, figuring I could build something for our community. It's been six months and money is tight, but I don't regret seeing my family every day. Has anyone else turned down a big move for a smaller, local path?

I used to chase money, but family time won me over.

Honestly, that's the real trade-off. The money's nice, but you can't buy more time with people.
