Found a cheap way to get my restaurant noticed without paying for ads
I run a small diner in Hamtramck and was spending like $500 a month on Facebook ads with barely any return. Last month I tried something random - I started posting daily specials on the Nextdoor app for my neighborhood. It cost nothing and within two weeks I had like 8 new regulars come in saying they saw my post about the Wednesday meatloaf special. I'm not saying it's a full replacement for marketing but it's way better than what I was doing before. Has anyone else had luck with hyper-local stuff like that for their business?

I used to think Nextdoor was just for lost pets, but you changed my mind.
