Tried a trick for diagnosing a low power issue on a 6.0 Ford

Had a 6.0L Powerstroke come in last week with no codes but no power under load, threw parts at it for two days before a buddy said to check the ICP sensor voltage with a multimeter while driving. Found it was stuck at 0.6 volts even under boost, unplugged the sensor and the truck ran fine after a reflash. Anyone else run into a bad ICP sensor that didn't set a code till you forced a drive cycle?

Check that ground pin at the connector first. I've seen where a little bit of corrosion on the sensor ground pin can hold voltage steady right around 0.6 to 0.7 volts and the PCM won't flag a code until you force it into a full drive cycle. Cleaning that pin and applying a little dielectric grease saved me a headache with a similar no-power issue last year.

Did you try checking the voltage drop across the sensor connector too? Sometimes a bad ground on those trucks can trick you into thinking the ICP is dead when it's just a corroded pin.
