Coworking passes vs cafe hopping - which actually saves money?
I spent 6 months bouncing between cafes in Chiang Mai and figured I was saving cash by not buying a coworking pass. After actually tracking my spending, I dropped around $180 a month on coffee and snacks just to use their wifi. Then I tried a coworking space for a month at $100 and got way more done with stable internet. Anyone else find the math works out differently for them?

Read somewhere that the average cafe latte in a place like Chiang Mai runs about 50 baht, but people forget about the second coffee and the pastry that comes with sitting there for four hours. A buddy of mine did the math on his Bangkok cafe habit and it came out to almost 150 bucks a month just on drinks and tipping the staff so they didn't kick him out. The coworking pass at 100 bucks sounds like a steal when you add in the free water and not having to buy a snack just to keep your table. Plus the internet actually works when you need to upload stuff, which is a huge win over cafe wifi that dies at noon.
