Can we talk about storing wood for garage projects?

I was at a lumber yard in Portland last month and saw a guy with this perfect rack system for his offcuts that made me realize my pile of scrap is a mess. My garage is always damp and I keep finding warped boards that are useless for anything. What do you all use to keep lumber dry and organized without taking up half the space?

Perfect rack system for his offcuts." That line got me. I spent last summer building a set of wall-mounted shelves out of 2x4s and scrap plywood, only to realize my garage humidity was still wrecking everything. I finally broke down and bought a cheap dehumidifier from a thrift store, and now my wood actually stays straight long enough to use it.

Garage humidity was still wrecking everything" - is it REALLY that bad? I've got warped boards too but seems like you're in a swamp if you need a whole dehumidifier, @mia592.
