Notice how everything takes triple the time you think it will. I've seen it with home projects, building stuff, even just putting together furniture. The first time you do anything, you're learning as you go, making mistakes, fixing those mistakes, then redoing stuff you already did. Once you've done it a few times, yeah, you could bang it out in a weekend, but that first attempt is always a journey. It's not just you, this is just how real life works with stuff you haven't done before.

Sticks with everything, not just projects. I started meal prepping on Sundays and the first week took like four hours because I kept checking recipes and chopping things wrong. Now it's down to an hour and a half. You just have to accept you're gonna be slow and clumsy the first few times at anything new. Ever noticed how even learning a new video game or a phone app feels way harder at first than it actually ends up being?
