My $30 bathroom vent fan install turned into a 6 hour nightmare
I decided to replace an old bathroom vent fan last Saturday. Figured it would be a quick 1 hour job, tops. But the previous owner had glued the ductwork on with some kind of industrial adhesive. Then I realized the new fan housing was a different size than the old one, so I had to cut new drywall and patch the ceiling. After 3 trips to Home Depot and a lot of swearing, I finally finished around 6 PM. Has anyone else run into a simple swap that turned into a full day project?
