My closet pegboard experiment from 3 years ago is still working better than anything else I tried

I put up a small pegboard in our entryway closet back in 2021 to hold bags and hats, and it has never sagged or needed adjustment. Last week I looked at those fancy wire shelf kits at Home Depot for $60 and realized my $12 pegboard plus some hooks was way more solid. Has anyone else gone back to basic pegboard after trying pricier systems?

Three years and no sagging? That is seriously impressive since most pegboards I've seen start warping after one winter. Your $12 setup probably has more holding power than those flimsy wire shelves anyway. Guess sometimes the simple stuff just lasts better than what the stores are pushing.

@wren_walker62 careful, pegboard isn't pegboard - the hardboard kind does sag after a while.
