Heard a homeowner in Phoenix say they'd just patch over a water stain themselves
They didn't know the leak source was still active. That's a guaranteed callback and a ruined rep. How do you guys explain the importance of finding the leak FIRST without sounding like you're upselling?

Yeah, that used to be my first move too, just cover it up. But seeing stories like from @davis.diana really shows you it's a waste of time and money. You gotta find the drip first, or you're just making a bigger mess for later.

Oh man, I learned that one the hard way. I mean, I once painted over a stain on my own ceiling like three times before I finally caved and called someone. They found a tiny drip from the upstairs toilet line. It had been going for months, and the drywall was basically mush. Felt like a total genius, obviously. Now I just tell people it's like putting a band-aid on a cut that's still bleeding.
