My client's comment about her morning routine made me change how I talk about sunscreen
I was doing a facial on a regular client, a teacher in her forties, and she mentioned she only puts sunscreen on her face when she 'remembers to grab it from the car'. She said she keeps a bottle in her glove box for emergencies. It hit me that for all my talk about daily use, I wasn't making it easy enough. I started showing clients exactly where to keep a second bottle: by the front door, in their bag, next to their keys. After three months of this, I've had five people tell me they haven't missed a day since. How do you guys make daily sunscreen feel less like a chore for your clients?

Wait, she keeps it in the glove box? Lol that stuff gets so hot in the car, I thought that basically cooked it and made it not work right.

Honestly, it's like keeping your keys in the same spot, right? My wife finally stuck hers in the cup holder of her car and now she never forgets it.

Yeah, I had a client who kept hers in her purse but it always leaked... I started telling people to just leave a cheap pump bottle right on the bathroom counter next to their toothbrush. It sounds simple but if it's in the way, you'll use it. That visual reminder is what finally got my sister to stick with it too.
