Forty dollars for a magnifying lamp sounds like a steal. I looked at those online and most were way over a hundred. Where did you even find one for that price? The cheap ones I saw had terrible reviews about the light being dim. You must have gotten really lucky with that find.

Yeah I almost bought one of those cheap ones too, the reviews scared me off. What I did was check the local craft store, they had a floor model on clearance because the box was damaged. The light is actually really bright, it just needed a good bulb. Sometimes you gotta look at the stuff they're trying to get rid of in the store itself.

Check the liquidation section at office supply stores, janaw11. I got a decent one for thirty-five bucks that way. The light is fine for small repairs if you aren't doing surgery.
