Peeled out $40 on a 'magic' kitchen gadget that just chops onions badly
I bought this fancy spiralizer that was supposed to change my meal prep game, and now it's sitting in the back of a drawer after mangling three onions into mush. Has anyone else fallen for a kitchen tool that was way more hype than help?

The whole "buy a gadget to make life easier and it makes it harder" thing is such a trap. It's like we forget that the basic tools already work fine, you know? My sister @miab16 bought a fancy avocado slicer and it was just a weird plastic claw that bruised everything. You end up spending more time cleaning the stupid tool than you would have just chopping. Feels like half the kitchen aisle is just stuff designed to separate you from your money, not actually help you cook.

No way, three onions? That's brutal. I'd be pissed if a gadget made onion mush instead of actual spirals.
