Vent: Got asked to reuse old glass seals on a high rise job

Honestly, a building manager wanted me to cut costs by putting old, worn seals back in during a window replacement. Ngl, it was tempting because the job was big and money was tight. I had to tell him no, explaining that failed seals could lead to leaks or even glass falling. It cost me the contract, but I sleep better knowing I didn't risk people's safety. Tbh, that kind of pressure makes you think hard about your morals in this trade.

I mean, "sleep better" is no joke. My brain would turn those old seals into a full-blown horror movie plot.

Doubt those seals were gonna cause leaks or falls right away. Seen old parts work fine for years if they're not cracked or worn out. @emma53's horror movie plot seems like overkill, but yeah, better safe than sorry.
