That $8 seat cushion I bought saved my commute last month

I take the 7:15 Amtrak from Providence to Boston three times a week and those seats start to feel like concrete after an hour. I grabbed a memory foam cushion off Amazon for eight bucks and it honestly changed everything. No more numb legs halfway through the ride and I actually look forward to settling in now. Has anyone else found a random cheap accessory that made train travel way more bearable?

You mentioned concrete after an hour and that's exactly what my friend Karen used to say about her train from New Haven to New York. She bought a cheap lap desk with a beanbag bottom, one of those ten dollar ones for working on the bus. Turns out she never uses it for writing, she just puts it on her lap and leans her tablet on it, but the beanbag part keeps her from sliding around on the vinyl seats. Last time I saw her she said it stopped her back from locking up by the time she hit Grand Central. Saved her commute for almost nothing.

Huh, that's actually pretty clever. @oscarmurphy I bet the beanbag bottom is key though, those vinyl seats are like ice rinks. Might grab one for my truck just to stop my lunch cooler from sliding around on the passenger seat. Simple fix for a dumb problem.
