That one time my boss asked me to count paper clips for inventory
I worked at a small office supply store in Portland for about 6 months. One slow Tuesday, my manager handed me a jar of 500 paper clips and told me to count them by hand because 'the machine could be wrong.' He stood there watching me for 20 minutes before I just dumped them back in the drawer and walked out. Has anyone else had a boss give them a completely pointless task like that?
