I used to think coworking spaces were a waste until a Tuesday afternoon changed my mind
A guy at the coffee shop next to my usual table was on a zoom call for 2 hours straight, and I couldn't focus. I popped into a nearby WeWork for a day pass, $29, and the quiet zone actually had people who shushed someone on a call. Has anyone else had a single bad experience push them to try something they swore off?

Ha, same thing happened to me but it was a guy eating the crunchiest chips I've ever heard for a solid 45 minutes. Like buddy are you eating gravel? I swore coworking spaces were just overpriced WeWork hype but ended up buying a membership the next day. Found out my "focus" is apparently worth about $29 plus the shame of admitting I needed a place where people actually enforce rules. My friends still make fun of me for it.

Wait, are we all just paying for the privilege of being judged by strangers now? Because I definitely dropped $35 on a "quiet zone" membership and then spent the first hour hyperventilating over the fear that my laptop fan was too loud. The worst part is I actually LIKE the place now - I'm literally counting down the minutes until I can go back tomorrow and pretend I'm a productive adult. My coffee order is on a first name basis with the barista, and I still haven't told my coworkers I'm basically paying to have a library with better lighting. But hey, at least no one's eating gravel over here.
