I thought I could handle a 300-cover wedding solo. I was wrong.

Can we talk about picking a book that's too short for a month-long club?

Tried a new rasp versus my old one on a tough quarter crack, the difference was night and day.

I was sure those cheap plastic lens spanner wrenches were junk until I fixed a stuck Canon FD 50mm

I was cutting baseboard trim wrong for a decade until a guy in line at the lumber yard said one thing.

My neighbor in Charlotte said I was crazy to use a 4-inch concrete slab for a patio, but the contractor wanted 6 inches.

Just wasted $175 on a 'universal' torque wrench adapter that stripped a bolt head

Agree with seanperez, and TylerG30's point about edge cases is exactly why.

Shoutout to the library in Springfield for changing how I run my book club

Those cards sound like they'd kill any real debate though, just makes everything feel scripted.

Just ate at a place in Austin that served a deconstructed chicken pot pie

Nah, the extra steps are the whole point lol. It lets you control how much pastry you get in each bite, which is way better than a soggy bottom crust.

Just counted my visa stamps and hit a number that felt weird

Yeah, that hits hard, @leo_thomas2. You start to feel it in weird little ways, like not knowing where to list as your address or what time zone to set on your phone. The idea of a base becomes this perfect couch or a favorite coffee shop you left behind three cities ago. All the cool experiences are amazing, but they don't stack up into a single place you can point to. Makes you wonder if the trade is worth it sometimes, you know?

I tried using a laser level to hang a single picture and it turned into a 4 hour project

Watched my buddy try to mount a TV with a stud finder that also mapped electrical wires. He spent an hour scanning the wall, drawing lines with a pencil, convinced he'd hit the perfect spot. Drilled into what he thought was a clean stud and hit a pipe for the upstairs bathroom. Had to call a plumber and then a drywall guy. That fancy tool gave him so much data he talked himself right into a disaster.
