Tried a new edge tool on a garage slab and it changed my finish

Yeah, I was the same as Robert for a long time. Just used a standard float and figured it was fine. Trying a proper grooving tool with that curved base was a total game changer though. The finish is just so much smoother and you don't get that ragged edge.

Setting up a new business account with a $5,000 daily limit took the bank three weeks because they kept asking for the same paperwork.

My credit union took six weeks to approve a home equity line. They asked for my last two pay stubs three separate times. I used to think switching banks was too much hassle, but that experience changed my mind.

My sourdough starter straight up died on me Tuesday morning

Ugh, that gray liquid is the worst, @rowan422 is totally right. My starter Betty did the same thing after a power outage last winter. Took almost three days of feeding to see any bubbles again. Maybe try keeping Frank extra warm for a bit longer?

TIL a customer's 'tuned up' bike had the front brake cable routed on the wrong side of the head tube.

See this everywhere now, not just bikes. People skip the basics. Watch a guy at the hardware store put a lock on his shed door upside down so it doesn't latch. My neighbor installed his own doorbell and the button just clicks loosely in the hole. It's like the simple, obvious step of checking how something should actually work gets lost in the rush to just get it done.

I keep seeing guys skip the moisture test on concrete slabs and it's going to cost them big.

That calendar doesn't account for the local water table or drainage. A slab in a low spot or near a high water table can act like a sponge for MONTHS longer than the specs say. Seen it trap moisture over a year in coastal areas.
