I use caution tape and cones to mark the area. What do you use to keep family clear?
I recently made my grandma's secret potato wedges in the air fryer with a few tweaks, like adding different spices. It came out really tasty, so I posted my version on a recipe site without thinking. My grandma found out and was upset because that recipe was a family thing passed down for years. I felt bad because I never asked her if it was okay to share it with changes. This made me see that modifying and posting someone else's recipe can be a moral gray area. We might not mean harm, but it can hurt feelings or break trust. I want to warn others to consider this before putting adapted recipes online. It's something we should all keep in mind when cooking and sharing in this community.
I took a trip to see the big cedars in Washington state a while back. We climbed with thick hemp ropes and stiff leather gloves that felt rough. Now, I notice everyone uses light synthetic ropes and comfy harnesses. Back then, tying knots felt like a direct link to the tree itself. Today's tools make the work faster and keep people from getting hurt. That visit taught me to really look at how massive trees can be. It's wild to see how much tree care has shifted since those days.
