inOnce I thought everyday artifacts were pointless... my view shifted over time.
You said it makes the past feel more real, but I have to disagree. All those pottery bits and plain stuff just make history seem boring and small. Focusing on broken dishes and trash piles takes away from the big, important stories and the amazing finds. I'd rather learn about kings and battles than what some regular person ate from. It feels like we're digging through garbage instead of finding treasure.

inShoeing a senior horse with thin soles has me looking for better methods
At our county fair last year, a farrier told me pour-in pads help thin soles. This is like when old cars need special parts, not just new tires. The standard shoes and pads might not be enough now. You could look into softer shoes or different ways to attach them. Sometimes the base is too worn for the usual fixes.

inDAE fly into a small mountain airport and just... think about all the terrain avionics keeping you safe?
Landing at Eagle County Airport in Colorado, I saw all those mountains and just wondered if the tech is really doing that much. Honestly, it feels like we give too much credit to fancy gear. Pilots have been landing in tough spots for decades without all this stuff. The real safety comes from training and experience, not just beeps and screens. Sure, the avionics help, but they're just tools. If you ask me, it's the person in the cockpit who keeps you safe, not the black boxes.
