inRant: My instant coffee routine got overturned by a basic burr grinder.
Wasn't there a whole article about how the biggest hurdle for kitchen gadgets is the initial setup? They said if you can get past that first annoying 20 minutes, you're way more likely to keep it on the counter. Makes total sense why cutting the prep time would make someone use it every day.

inI spent $150 on a fancy laser level for my basement framing and it completely burned me when the batteries died after 20 minutes.
Burning through batteries is just part of the game with tools. A corded level would be a huge hassle, dragging a cord around a dusty basement. That laser probably has a high-output mode that drains power fast, which is why it's so accurate. Maybe check the manual for a lower power setting to make the batteries last longer.

inAm I the only one who sees way more requests for patterned carpet now?
Oh wow, that's so true. It's not just carpets, it's like everything is getting busier. I saw wallpaper with giant, mismatched lemons in a cafe bathroom last week. Feels like we're all just tired of plain gray boxes.

inSeeing more rush jobs lately, and it's a bad move
Totally agree. Cutting corners always comes back to bite you. Pay now or pay way more later.

inTbh, starting a compost bin in my backyard was eye-opening.
Wait, doesn't methane mostly come from landfills instead?
