Unpopular opinion: I think the $400 quote for a simple window screen repair is actually fair around here.
Honestly, I was shocked when I saw that number, but after pricing the custom frame material and labor, it kinda makes sense. Has anyone else gotten a similar quote that made them rethink a DIY job?

My neighbor just paid about the same for a sliding door screen. Said the guy had to order a weird size track.
