Hard agree. AIs can now learn the patterns of real jazz so well they fake the soul part. Still not a person, but scary close.

Read an interview with a jazz pianist who said the math of music is easy to copy but the human mistakes, the breath between notes, that's the hard part. Totally get what you mean about it being scary close though (hearing some AI generated blues tracks recently that gave me chills, in a weird way). Makes you wonder if "soul" is just another pattern we haven't fully mapped yet, you know? Wild times.
