inHad a customer in Tacoma ask me to save a 30 year old carpet from a flood
Got that old book smell, like dust and secrets. Makes you wonder about all the hands that turned those pages.

inPro tip: A stranger in Bangkok saved me $300 on a flight with one simple question
Yeah that zoom out trick is solid, @masontorres. I read a whole travel blog about this for the US. Like everyone tries to fly straight into San Francisco, but sometimes landing in Oakland or even San Jose is way cheaper, and you can just take BART or a bus in. Same with New York, skipping JFK for Newark can save a ton if you don't mind the train ride. It's a little extra planning but totally worth it for the cash you keep.

inHad a chimney fire scare on a job in Burlington last fall that made me switch to a stricter inspection routine.
Seriously @taylor.susan, that's scary stuff. A blocked vent can actually start a fire pretty fast. Glad your buddy caught it in time.

Ever try the smaller coffee shop meetups instead?

inI used to think a 6-inch drywall knife was fine for everything, but taping a 12-foot ceiling with it was a huge mistake.
My husband swears by a 6-inch knife for the first coat on any seam. He says the smaller blade gives him way more control for laying in the mud. He used a 12-inch for our kitchen ceiling and it left way more ridges to sand later. I watched him fight with it for hours.
