Filler can be rough but honestly One Piece is a different beast entirely. The 3 episode rule makes sense for most anime where filler is just random stories that go nowhere. One Piece filler actually tries to fit in with the world and characters most of the time though. Skipping them means you miss out on some fun crew interactions and small details that make the journey feel more real. But hey, if you enjoy it more your way then that's what matters in the end lol.

@grayperez you get it lol. those little moments where the crew is just hanging out or doing something dumb together are my favorite part of the whole show. like the episode where they all try to cook for sanji or that filler arc where they get stuck on that island with the giant animals. sure it's not canon but it makes the straw hats feel like real friends instead of just characters.
