Just saw a stat that 37% of people still write checks for at least one bill a month. Found it in a report from the Fed while looking up something else.

Wait, really? That number is way higher than I would have guessed. My landlord only takes checks for rent, so I'm stuck buying a book of them once a year. Feels so weird to mail it out when everything else is on auto-pay.

Mailing a check in 2024 feels like time traveling for no reason.

My landlord still wants checks too (it's like a weird loyalty test). At least the stamp gives it that extra layer of ancient ceremony.
