I tried a $5 gel pen versus my usual ballpoint for my weekly spread

For months I used the same basic ballpoint from my kitchen drawer, and my pages looked kind of flat. Last week I grabbed a Uni-ball Signo gel pen on a whim, and the difference is crazy. The ink is so much darker and smoother, and my check marks and notes actually stand out now. It made filling out my habit tracker feel less like a chore. Anyone have a favorite pen that makes writing in their journal more fun?
