Can we talk about the one feedback that changed how I handle callouts

Last year I got absolutely dragged in a thread for posting a cancel story I thought was solid but I had missed the receipts completely. Someone commented 'you brought a butter knife to a gunfight' which stung but they were right. I used to just screenshot tweets and call it a day. Now I archive everything in a folder with timestamps, check for deleted posts using Wayback Machine, and even look at context from before the tweet went viral. Took me about 3 hours on my last deep dive but nobody could argue the facts. Has anyone else had a specific critique that forced you to change how you research?

My old-dog self just learned about the Wayback Machine from reading this, so thanks for that.

Three hours on a deep dive? Man, I barely have the attention span for a 15 minute YouTube rabbit hole. You turned into a digital detective and all it cost was your whole afternoon. Hope you billed someone for that overtime.
