Just had a talk with my old boss that made me see things differently

Honestly, I ran into my old boss from the diner at the grocery store yesterday. He asked how my freelance web stuff was going, and I told him it was slow. He looked at me and said, 'You left school to build something, not to wait for it.' Tbh, that hit different because I've been scared to really put myself out there. Has anyone else had a simple talk that kicked them into gear?

Oh man, my buddy had a similar thing. His dad just asked him "what are you saving your good ideas for?" out of the blue. He said it messed him up for a week, in a good way lol.

That question hits so hard because it's about permission. I saw a tweet last year that said we're all waiting for someone to tell us it's okay to start, @seth_martinez21. We treat our own ideas like fancy china we can't use yet. Your buddy's dad cut right through that. It's not about being ready, it's about using what you have now before the moment is gone. That simple shift can unlock everything.

My grandma saved her best china for 50 years and never once used it.
