Just realized I was bagging my comics wrong for 15 years

I was at a small con in Austin last weekend and a guy at the next table over showed me how he bags his books. He puts the book in spine first, not the bottom edge first like I always did. I thought it was just preference but he showed me how bottom-first can crease the cover over time if the bag is a tight fit. I never even considered that and I have 400+ books all bagged wrong. Anyone else hear about this or am I the last person to figure it out?

Oh man, you're definitely not alone here. I've been bagging mine the same wrong way for like a decade and now I feel like such a goof. I actually just checked a few of my older books and yeah, there's a slight crease on a couple covers near the spine. Ugh, my bad. I'm gonna have to go through my whole longbox this weekend and flip them all around, probably while muttering at past me the whole time. Thanks for the wake-up call though, even if it stings a little. Better late than never, right?

Heard a collector from Oregon mention this exact thing at a show last year, said he learned it from a oldtimer who swore by it. @alice808 you're right, better late than never on catching it now.
