Rant: I hit 47 minutes on hold with my internet company before anyone picked up
My internet in Atlanta went out last Tuesday, and I called the support line. I got stuck in their automated system for what felt like forever. The call timer on my phone hit 47 minutes before a real person finally answered, and then they just put me on hold again. Has anyone else had to wait this long just to report a basic outage?

That "47 minutes on hold" is brutal. My buddy in Phoenix had a similar thing with his cable company last month. He said he waited over an hour listening to the same terrible hold music, only for the rep to tell him they already knew about the outage.

Yeah, that's the worst part, when they already know. I've started asking the automated system for outage info before choosing the "talk to someone" option. It sometimes saves you the whole call.
