Warning: I spent $400 on a 'professional' resume rewrite that made things worse
Everyone says you need a fancy, keyword-stuffed resume to get past the bots, but mine came back sounding like a robot wrote it and I got zero calls. Has anyone actually landed a job with one of those services, or did I just get a bad writer?

People forget they added that new tracking algorithm... it tries to guess what you want before you even search for it. So now you only see stuff the system already thinks you like, which feels really narrow. It just killed the fun of finding weird new things by accident.
