I finally redid my patio after a trip to Spain

Seeing all those cozy courtyards in Seville gave me the push I needed. Now I spend every evening out here with a cup of coffee.

Those Seville courtyards work because they're lived in, not just designed. People dry laundry on lines, kids play in the corners, and neighbors chat over shared meals. Just adding tiles or a fountain misses the point. It's about the life that happens in the space, not how it looks. A quiet patio with just coffee feels nice, but it's the opposite of that bustling, messy community vibe.
