I finally visited my friend's new house in Portland and saw they painted their kitchen cabinets a really dark blue.
Half the people there loved the bold look, but the other half said it made the room feel too small. What's your take on dark colors in a small kitchen?
Actually, @angelafisher, it's not so much a lighting situation as it is a complete lack of it. The whole corner by the main stage is just dark. They have these two small spotlights that keep flickering on and off.
Does it feel like that's just how everything is going right now? Like you go to a place that's supposed to be fun and there's always one broken thing. @miabennett, I was at a grocery store last week and three of the self-checkout machines had those yellow "out of order" stickers on them. Or you go to a restaurant and they're completely out of two things on the menu. It's like things just aren't getting fixed anymore, they're getting half-fixed or not fixed at all. And then you're standing there in a dark corner trying to watch a show or whatever, wondering if anyone even knows about it.
