Rant: My garage pegboard project took 3 hours longer because I misplaced the hole saw bit

I spent 45 minutes searching every drawer and pocket before finding it in the fridge next to the milk (don't ask), has anyone else lost a tool in the weirdest spot while trying to organize?

A big magnet on a stick really saved me here. I tape a small magnet to the end and sweep it under shelves and behind the workbench. Also started keeping a dedicated bucket on the bench for whatever tool I'm using that day, so I can't walk off with it. Found my missing socket in the garage trash can once, no clue how it got there.
