Remember when we used to mix mud by hand in a bucket?

I started hanging board in the late 90s, and we'd spend 20 minutes just mixing a 5-gallon bucket with a paddle drill. My arms would be shot by lunch. Around 2010, I finally got a proper mud mixer and it changed everything. Now I can mix a full box of compound in under 60 seconds with no lumps. It seems small, but saving that time on every single batch adds up to hours each week. What's one old-school task you were happy to leave behind?

Proper mud mixer is a total game changer, right?

Wait, are we talking about the tool or the person who can actually mix mud right? Because @seth_martinez21, I've seen some guys at work try to mix mud and it looks like they're trying to stir concrete with a twig. A real mixer saves so much time and your arms don't feel like they're gonna fall off. It's the difference between a good day and a terrible one. Honestly, calling it a game changer is selling it short.
