Cleaning out the van and found an old analog meter from my apprenticeship
It's one of those needle swing types with a manual range selector. We used to have to guess the range before poking wires. Now my digital meter auto-ranges and even logs data. I dropped this old thing off a ladder once and it just kept working. Sometimes I miss the simplicity, but the new stuff is way safer. Do you still keep any of your old tools around, or is it all modern gear now?

Man, I get that. I've got a beat up old metal toolbox from my grandad that I just can't bring myself to get rid of. It's full of weird hand tools you just don't see anymore. I'll never use most of them for real work, not when my new stuff is lighter and way more precise. But there's something about the weight and the wear on the handles that feels right, you know? What's the one old tool you'd never toss?
