Showerthought: I thought those Milwaukee M18 heated jackets were just a gimmick until I had to work in a Chicago winter.
I was doing a panel upgrade in an unheated garage last January, and the temp dropped to 15 degrees. My foreman let me borrow his, and after about 20 minutes on low, I was actually warm enough to keep my fingers working. Totally changed my mind on gear for cold weather jobs. What's your go-to for staying warm on a site when there's no heat?

My buddy swears by those jackets for his winter plumbing calls. Fifteen degrees in a garage sounds miserable, glad you found something that actually works.

Is your buddy the reason those jackets are always sold out? I mean, I finally get one and it's like a miracle, but trying to buy it was its own kind of cold misery. You spend weeks being a human popsicle, then you find the one thing that helps and you have to fight every other cold person for it. Maybe we should all just move somewhere warmer instead.
