It finally clicked when I got a weird email from my bank in Denver about a login from a city I've never been to. I checked Have I Been Pwned and my email was in 4 different data breaches I never knew about. How do you even start to manage dozens of unique passwords without going crazy?

My power went out for a full day and I accidentally watched an entire season of a show I'd been avoiding.

We had a crazy storm here in Austin last week that knocked out the power for almost 24 hours. My phone was the only thing with a charge, so I finally started that weird show 'Severance' everyone talks about. I got so sucked into the weird office mystery that I finished the whole first season before the lights even came back on. What's a show that completely hooked you when you had nothing else to do?

Finally got a clear shot of the Orion Nebula after months of trying

Last Tuesday night was the first clear sky we've had here in weeks. I set up my old Celestron 8SE in the backyard around 10 PM. The air was so still, no wind at all. I took about 50 two-minute exposures, stacking them in DeepSkyStacker. For the first time, I could see the pinkish gas clouds and the Trapezium stars clearly. My hands were freezing but I didn't even care. It felt like a real win after so many cloudy nights and blurry pictures. Has anyone else had a breakthrough with a specific target after a long wait?

Hot take: I started using a cheap spray bottle for my clipper blades and it's a game changer

My blades were getting gunky and hot halfway through a cut, which was slowing me down. I saw a barber on Instagram just use a plain water spray bottle to mist his blades while working. I tried it with a $3 bottle from the dollar store, and it keeps the blades cool and clean for way longer. I can do three full fades now without needing to stop and oil or wipe them down. The water evaporates fast and doesn't leave a mess on the client. Has anyone else tried this, or do you stick with the standard brush and oil method?

Why I switched from quarterly to monthly guide rail cleanings

I always thought cleaning guide rails every three months was plenty to prevent issues. Then I worked on a busy downtown tower where doors kept sticking every few weeks. When I inspected, the rails were full of dirt and debris from all the people using the elevators. After I started doing a quick clean each month, the problems totally disappeared. Now I adjust my schedule based on how much a building is used, not just the date. It's a simple skill that really cuts down on emergency calls. Changing this habit made my job a lot easier in the long run.
