My internet was out for 5 days straight and the company kept saying 'tomorrow'
After a storm in Charlotte, my service went down and each call ended with a promise of a tech 'tomorrow' that never came. I finally got a real person who admitted the ticket was lost and sent someone that afternoon. Has anyone else had a company just lie about sending help for almost a week?

Actually had the opposite happen with my provider after a bad storm. They were upfront about the damage being worse than expected and gave daily updates on repair progress. It took four days but at least I knew what was happening. Maybe it depends on the local team handling the outage?

Charlotte is a big city but my neighborhood had the same runaround last winter. They told me a tech was scheduled for three days in a row and no one ever showed. I get what black.claire is saying about good local teams, but when the company system itself loses your ticket, that's not a storm problem, that's them not caring. They hope you'll just get tired of calling. After a week of "tomorrow" you start to wonder if they even know what day it is.
