Burger King drive-thru at 2am changed my whole view on pickles

I watched a guy eat a triple whopper with extra pickles, no cheese, ketchup only, then chase it with a chocolate shake. Has anyone else had a fast food combo totally flip your opinion on a food you used to hate?

@nora_park72 He was definitely alternating bites, not dipping. Saw the whole thing from my car. I used to think pickles were just there to make the bun soggy and ruin everything. But watching that dude demolish a whopper with extra pickles like he was on a mission from God made me reconsider. Tried it myself the next week and now I'm a full convert. The crunch and the vinegar cut through the grease in a way that actually works.

Funny how one random person eating can change your whole outlook on pickles. I mean, I was always a no-pickle person myself until I saw a guy at a diner dip his fries into a pickle spear juice puddle he made on his plate. Like he purposely squeezed the pickle to make a dipping sauce. @nora_park72 might be onto something with the shake question though, because the whole method matters for whether it actually works or just makes a mess. Maybe the pickle converts are just people who saw someone eat with total confidence and got convinced by the vibe more than the taste. Idk, but now I'm curious if the burger-shake combo works better with alternating or dipping, because one seems like you'd get more of that vinegar crunch at the right moment.

Wait was he dipping the pickle burger INTO the shake or just alternating bites? That detail matters more than you'd think.
