My boss kept moving my deadlines up by a day without telling me

It got so bad I started putting a fake due date in our shared project tracker, one day later than the real one. When he'd inevitably move it up, it would land on the actual deadline I needed. I did this for a project in Q3 and it saved my sanity. Anyone else have a boss who pulls this kind of stuff?

I dropped $400 on a fancy group cooking class to make friends and it was a total bust

Everyone was paired up with the person they came with and just talked to them the whole time. I spent the whole night awkwardly trying to jump into conversations while chopping onions. It felt more like a bad date night than a way to meet people. Has anyone actually had a good experience with a paid activity for this, or should I just stick to the dog park? lmao

Heard a guy at the supply house say he never uses a curing compound on driveways

He claimed the sun and wind do a better job. That's a fast track to checking and dusting in my experience, especially on a south-facing pour. Anyone else run into this kind of advice lately?

My old knitting project from 2018 finally got a second chance

I was halfway through a scarf for my sister in my old apartment in Austin when I dropped a stitch and the whole thing started to unravel. I just shoved it in a closet for years, feeling bad every time I saw the bag. Last weekend, I finally sat down with a crochet hook and fixed the mistake in about twenty minutes. What's a project you walked away from that was actually a quick fix?
