inI thought using thrift store curtains for fabric was a terrible idea until I tried it
Totally. I've found some of my favorite things by just clicking random links or following a weird hunch. It's like the internet's last bit of magic.

inThe day a client's 'simple' kitchen island turned into a walnut waterfall
Right? My boss asked for a "quick update" that took three days.

inMy cousin's kid asked me how to make a website move in his school library
Yeah, that's the real way to learn. I read an article once about how the best programmers often started by just messing with simple code until it failed. They called it "creative breaking." The kid gets that instant feedback, and fixing their own mistake teaches more than any step-by-step guide ever could. Just moving a square and changing its color is a full world of cause and effect at that age. The goal is to keep that "I can make it do anything" feeling alive, not kill it with too many rules right away.

inRant: The old guy on the site in Austin showed me a trick with a chalk line and a level
That's a solid trick... sometimes the simple stuff just works better.

That Medellin cafe... was it a chain or a local spot?
